The City of Angels witnessed widespread celebrations after the Dodgers clinched a thrilling seven-match World Series title. Fans across the globe joined local residents in jubilation, marking the initial time in 25 years that a team has achieved back-to-back championships.
Celebration Parade Attracts Enormous Turnout
Los Angeles area celebrations featured a downtown parade on Monday morning, a ticketed rally at Dodger Stadium, and spontaneous parties across the city.
Social media videos depict countless of Angelenos packing downtown streets, many carrying handmade banners and team flags. The team was seen riding high on a double-decker bus through the masses, hoisting the championship trophy proudly.
“I’m already thinking about the third time we’re going to do this,” the star player stated through an translator.
The procession path ended at the stadium, where the team emerged to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ spinning music and the artist cruising a light blue classic car around the stadium’s outfield.

In contrast, Mark Walter was met with a cooler reception at the celebration. Video footage from the gathering seem to depict him walking onstage to a combination of applause and jeers, with negative shouts punctuating his address.
The championship served as a positive moment in what has been a trying year for the city. An approximate quarter-million people attended to the Dodgers’ victory parade last year, and according to Dodgers player Freddie Freeman, fans this year showed equal or greater enthusiasm.
“I feel like it’s nearly twice from last year,” Freeman said. “These fans are crazy. It’s truly amazing to be a part of this.”
