Moist weather were forecast to persist along large portions of Queensland's east this week as a low-pressure trough continued to pull in damp air against the shoreline.
Tomorrow was predicted as the heaviest precipitation period, with continued severe weather risk anticipated across multiple regions of both areas.
Safety Concern
Health officials cautioned that there was an increased chance of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the state's northern country region, especially given the ongoing climate situation.
This alert comes after historical occurrences where analogous circumstances led to substantial respiratory problems in the area.
