"Look at this extensive effort. See this instance of genocide," one cheers.

The fighter grins as he directs the recording device on himself and his associate fighters, their paramilitary identification clearly shown: "The victims shall all die like this."

The men are rejoicing over a atrocity that humanitarian officials believe killed over thousands of individuals in the Sudanese metropolis of the Darfur city during October.

A City Cut Off from the World

After maintaining the urban area under siege for almost 24 months, from August the RSF advanced to strengthen its position and blockade the leftover civilian population.

Satellite images show that troops started to build a immense earth barrier - a built-up earthen wall - encircling the boundaries of the city, blocking roads and blocking relief supplies.
