Vince Zampella, Has Died in a Los Angeles Car Crash

Vince Zampella, who helped create the immensely successful first-person shooter Call of Duty, has died in a vehicle crash in Los Angeles, California at the age of 55.

The tragic news was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the video game company that he helped create.

The celebrated video game developer passed away following his car crashed and caught fire on a freeway in LA on Sunday, US media outlets report.

"We are facing an unimaginable loss, and our hearts are with Vince's family, those closest to him, and all those touched by his creative vision," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts said.
